Tenant-improvement build-out under a fixed-price contract with a three-draw schedule. Draws one and two were paid. After final walkthrough and punch list completion, the client stopped responding and the final draw of $9,250 went unpaid for over four months. A lien notice was served. The client has since told two other contractors we abandoned the job, which the dated site photos and inspection sign-off contradict.
